The real problem with travel baseball (and private monetized youth sports teams in general) as I speak from 16 years of experience and watching it evolve: Most people join a team asking, “What can I get out of this?” That mindset is backwards. The real question should be: 👉 “What can I bring to the table every single day?” Teams don’t thrive on selfishness — they thrive on selflessness. You decide how you show up. You decide if you’re a teammate or a taker. At the end of the day, it’s not about trophies, rankings, or going tit-for-tat. It’s about being part of something greater than yourself — whether it’s family, sports, or business. As Philippians 2:3–4 reminds us: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Spring football is changing. The United Football League, better known as the UFL, just announced its New Vision for 2026, and it’s clear they’re betting on a smarter, more sustainable future. For anyone unfamiliar, the UFL is the result of a merger between the XFL and USFL. It serves as a professional spring football league that gives players, coaches, and fans more of the game we love when the NFL is off. Now the league is taking major steps to grow and stay alive in a competitive market: 🏈 New teams and cities — Columbus Aviators, Louisville Kings, and Orlando Storm will join the league in 2026, replacing underperforming markets like Memphis, San Antonio, and Michigan. 🏟️ Smaller, fan-focused venues — Instead of huge college stadiums, games will move to more intimate soccer venues like Inter&Co Stadium and Lynn Family Stadium to create better atmosphere and fuller crowds. 📅 Simplified league format — Starting in 2026, the UFL will operate as a single eight-team table with the top four making the playoffs. No more confusing conference divisions. 💼 Business refresh — Led by new investor Mike Repole, the league’s focus is shifting toward community engagement, brand consistency, and a long-term plan that actually makes financial sense.
