A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of spending time with one of my favorite clients, the sustainability team of a fast-growing brand. It left me more excited than ever about the work we do at The Now Work because it reminded me how crucial it is to intentionally design not just what we work on but how we work. Without that focus on the human side, things can easily get lost in translation. As sustainability professionals, we often hyper-focus on plans, impacts, and metrics. But we can't forget the people actually doing the work. Bringing that humanness back into how we work on the world's biggest challenges leads to more efficiency, clearer processes, and, frankly, better experiences all around. It was a great reminder that culture and team dynamics are just as important as strategy. Let’s not lose sight of the human element in the pursuit of sustainable change.
