If we want the NHS to remain at the forefront of global developments, it is essential that Trusts, NHS England, regulators, and funders act decisively. To keep research at the heart of the NHS. #NHS #MedicalResearch #HealthResearch
‘For every £1 invested in medical research there’s a 25% return, proving its enormous value not only for our health but for our economy too. It is vital that NHS doctors are given the time and resources they need to pursue research alongside their clinical duties. More protected time for research can mean better outcomes for patients, doctors and the entire healthcare system.’ Our academic vice president, Tom Solomon CBE, takes us through some of the findings from our latest census which investigated UK consultants' experiences with research: https://ow.ly/TWy050TTjrQ
