Up to £25,000 for non profits in England, Scotland and Wales with income between £10,000 and £1 million pa that are contributing towards nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency – and to improve places for nature and people’s access to them. Building a more sustainable London is always on the agenda, but what's our first point of action? Creating an easy to use, circular economy function on site. Enter: The Reuse Network! The Reuse Network is a grassroots initiative from the brains of our rising stars here at McGee, making it easier for site teams to give unwanted materials a second life. Its premise is simple: Snap It, Send It, Save It. The team snaps a photo, sends it to the Environmental team for approval, who then shares it to The Reuse Network - which includes our circular economy partners, local charities, and schools - and saves it from a fate in landfill. Since it started out we've donated primary school playgrounds, repurposed timber, and even turned tyres into toys! When it comes to sustainability, it's often the little things that can amount to much more. It all comes back to thinking globally, but acting locally. At Cumming Group, we’re proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to sustainability and community. Closing date: 31 October 2025 A new fund, the Green Community Grants Programme, will offer grants of up to £25,000 to small charities and not for profit groups contributing towards nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency – and also for proposals to improve places for nature and people’s access to them. Whilst organisational aims and objectives should fit one of these themes, funding can also be used for a wider range of sustainable activities, including recycling, litter picking, beach cleans or sustainable transport. One-year flexible funding is offered to not-for-profit groups in England, Scotland and Wales with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. To be eligible for funding, a group must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months. To assist with decision-making and through the assessment process, priority will be given to organisations: - that have an income of £250,000 or below - that work in communities located in the top 15% of the Index of Multiple Deprivation - whose main activities are focused on supporting marginalised groups. This could include, but is not limited to, disabled people, communities experiencing racial inequity, and LGBT+ people. - The fund will open on 17 September 2025 and the deadline for applications will be in October 2025. The public is entitled to well planned projects. Trying to price charities and communities out of legally questioning those projects is not the way to deliver nature-friendly development. Designing better projects and ensuring developers respect nature is a better solution.    Charities are very selective in their environmental challenges - it's not something we undertake lightly. The costs are already too high for some groups.
