It was good to be back at uni classes for introducing RICS Matrics to Bayes Business School master students together with Joe White MRICS. We mainly focused on how RICS resources are accessible for young professionals - from formal events and informal coffee mornings to CPD trainings and APC support - and why joining early in their careers can be so valuable and how it works in practice. We also shared a few career tips along the way. While the group was mainly from real estate investment and finance backgrounds, we highlighted how project management and asset management are integral parts of the wider real estate cycle and investment decisions - including from both landlord and occupier perspectives - and why these matter for investors and developers. Encouraging to see such interest from students after the session (or at least Joe managed to booked out our next event on 10th Nov with Richard Croft at RICS HQ!). Many thanks to Sotiris Tsolacos for the kind invite and a great chat over lunch!! For anyone interested, all RICS training & event calendar is available here: https://lnkd.in/dBrnytf2 RICS Matrics UK, London & South East Committee: Charlie Saunders, Gabriel Ursu MA, MSc, Hallam Parkes, Laura Hennessy, Machai Tolosi, Olivia Caravello MRICS, YC Lau, Emily Wickenden
