When I work with entrepreneurs setting up in the UAE, I notice a common mistake: They rush to get their license approved but overlook one critical detail — the business activity. The result? Months later, they face operational restrictions, rejections from banks, or costly amendments. 💡 Here’s my advice: 1. Don’t just select quickly — select smartly. 2. Think of your trade license activity as your business identity. 3. It must match your vision today and allow room for growth tomorrow. This is why I dedicate time to helping investors choose the right activity — because one correct choice today saves years of struggle later. 👉 If you’re planning to set up in the UAE, take your trade license seriously. The right structure is the first step toward sustainable growth. #UAEbusiness #Entrepreneurship #BusinessAdvice #TradeLicense

The recent findings (link in comments below) that foreign entrepreneurs in South Africa’s townships are outperforming locals in agility, risk-taking, and customer focus reveal something far deeper than just business tactics — they expose what we call the mindset gap at Unconventional CA . It’s not that South African entrepreneurs lack creativity or opportunity. It’s that too many are stuck in survival mode, chasing the next sale instead of building the next scalable business. When short-term survival becomes the only goal, growth becomes impossible. Entrepreneurship is 80% mindset and 20% execution. And that mindset extends beyond innovation — it includes how we view compliance, formalisation, and governance. These shouldn’t be seen as burdens or red tape; they’re actually gateways to funding, credibility, and long-term sustainability. Until we shift from fear-based entrepreneurship to growth-based thinking — from “getting by” to building up — we’ll continue watching others thrive in spaces that should be ours. What we need isn’t just capital; it’s mentorship, peer learning, and financial literacy that challenge how entrepreneurs think about success. It’s time to stop playing not to lose, and start playing to win. #MindsetShift #Entrepreneurship #UnconventionalCA #SMMEGrowth #TownshipEconomy #FinancialLiteracy #BusinessDevelopment #ScaleUp #ThinkDifferent #EntrepreneurMindset
