I used to think “being healthy” was about the gym. Weights. Cardio. Repeat. But I realised one strange thing: The days I felt the weakest weren’t the days I skipped the workout. They were the days I skipped recovery. Nobody talks about that. -> We measure calories, but not cortisol. -> We glorify the grind, but we don’t track sleep. -> We push through exhaustion, thinking it’s discipline. When in reality, it’s debt. I once spent a week working 16-hour days, running on 4 hours of sleep. I felt like I was winning. But then one morning, I tried climbing stairs, and my body literally shut down. That’s when it hit me: Health isn’t built in the moments you push hardest. It’s built in the moments you allow yourself to stop. Rest is not laziness. Recovery is not optional. It’s the silent foundation that makes the hustle sustainable. Because if your body collapses, so does the business, the wealth, the vision.

Iftikhar Ahmed Most people aren't burnt out/overworked they are under rested - not enough sleep - too much screen time - not enough high quality nutrition the thing they don't realise that of they fixed this they'd be more productive in 4 hours than 12

Rest isn’t optional.. it’s where performance is actually built. Pushing hard without pause is just debt waiting to be collected.

Most of us focus on workouts but ignore recovery. True performance isn’t built in the gym, it’s built in the rest, the sleep, and the downtime that actually lets you show up stronger.

Funny how founders will schedule launches, calls, and funnels to the minute but never schedule recovery.

🌱 Powerful reminder! True health isn’t just built in the grind, it’s sustained through rest and recovery. Rest isn’t the enemy of growth, it’s the fuel that makes it possible. 👏

Too much comfort = stagnation, too much discomfort = burnout. I think we need to find our own personal equation to balance activity and rest.

Our bodies have ways of telling us to stop or slow down, we shouldn't get to this point. If you are not ok, that impacts everything else. Self care is key.
