📢 New AI implementation into the diabetes workflow When it comes to diabetic foot complications, the traditional care model has often been about reaction, not prevention. My own father, previously managed under a large traditional care system, whose diabetic neuropathy and the severe progression to Charcot foot only came when it was already too late, lead to a toe amputation as his only remaining solution. This story is tragically common, and it’s why we at GluCare.Health and meta[bolic] are committed to a different path bringing in new technology earlier into the workflow. The Problem: A Silent Epidemic in the UAE 🇦🇪 In the UAE, diabetic neuropathy is a widespread affecting up to 70% of people with long-standing diabetes. This nerve damage robs you of sensation, which means a small blister or a cut can go unnoticed and develop into a severe foot ulcer. This is why more than half of all foot ulcers will become infected, with 20% of infections resulting in amputation. While standard care focuses on annual foot checks, we believe in a more proactive, data-rich approach. Our new AI thermal imaging detects subtle temperature changes that are the first sign of inflammation, appearing weeks or even months before a foot ulcer becomes visible. What This Means for our patients: Early Detection, Non-Invasive and Fast, and a practice of Preventative health as standard. Amplifai Health was developed in Saudi Arabia by an all Saudi team lead by Dr. Meshari F. Alwashmi. We need more technology built in the GCC to tackle issues widely prevalent in the GCC, and I'm proud to be an early adopter and supporter. This is more than just a new test. It's another crucial biometric that feeds into GluCare.Health’s continuous care model, giving us a richer, more complete dataset to provide patients with personalized and preventive care. "We need more technology built in the GCC to tackle issues widely prevalent in the GCC"....you hit the nail on the head. And Meshari (and many others) show the local talent is clearly there. You guys are trailblazers in what can be achieved and there is so much learning that can be taken from you both.

Absolutely love seeing this collaboration!! Looking forward to the impact this will have in region and beyond!

Sorry to know about the problems of ur father,,,,,,,,,,Where did you get the standard of annual foot check up... according to ADA every visit feet must be checked...that's why it's so bad peripheral neuropathy if it's done annually.... technology is fine but one must understand diabetes mellitus first, simple measures can be done to prevent complications....diet and exercise.... nothing better than that.....rest we can discuss more....my pleasure....dr.mehmood .consultant diabetologist...

I have seen this first-hand while working on a project on diabetes peripheral neuropathy in rural India the condition was so severe and unnoticed that many patients lost limbs. Prevention and early detection like this can truly change lives. We used tools that required patient input to vibration, so a solution like this that doesn’t rely on patient responses would be far more effective. What level of accuracy does this AI tool achieve in practice?
