If generative intelligence elevated creativity and productivity, Agentic AI takes this capability even further. These are systems that don’t just respond — they collaborate, learn, and take initiative toward measurable business outcomes. Abhijit Dubey explores this transformation in his latest article, drawing a parallel with the evolution of aviation — from manual control to strategic oversight. Just as pilots now guide increasingly autonomous systems, organizations are entering a new era where AI orchestrates workflows, acts in real time, and supports decisions with purpose and context. https://lnkd.in/dxGv7SHg #NTTDATA #AgenticAI #GenAI

AI is transforming our world, but are we paying enough attention to the shadows it casts? From algorithmic bias to autonomous weapons, the ethical dilemmas are profound. We are calling for chapter proposals for the book entitled: "The Dark Side of Artificial Intelligence: Risks, Failures, and Ethical Dilemmas." This volume seeks to critically analyse the pressing issues often overlooked in the hype, including: ➡️ The weaponisation of AI and autonomous drones. ➡️ The environmental cost of massive AI infrastructure. ➡️ Legal accountability when AI systems fail. ➡️ The psychological impact of AI dependence. If your research tackles the complex challenges of AI, we want to hear from you. Join us in shaping a crucial conversation about the future of technology. ***Key Details***: No publication fees. Proposal Deadline: October 5, 2025 See the attached image for full themes and contact information. Sharing the preprint of our paper "Get Global Guarantees: On the Probabilistic Nature of Perturbation Robustness", which will be presented at CIKM 2025. In safety-critical domains like healthcare and autonomous driving, even tiny input changes can cause serious failures. Existing robustness checks, however, are often computationally costly or potentially imprecise. We present a comprehensive analysis of robustness measures and introduce Tower Robustness, a statistically grounded metric that evaluates how reliably models withstand perturbations. It provides both theoretical guarantees and practical efficiency, helping bridge the gap between research and safe real-world deployment. Many thanks to Wenchuan Mu for leading this effort! 📄 Read the preprint here: https://lnkd.in/gx7E66F3 #CIKM2025 #DeepLearning #Robustness #AI #Safety

An insight into safety assurance for autonomous systems. Our very own Colin O'Halloran and Nick Tudor BEng MSc CEng FIET teamed up with Paul Whittaker to write an in-depth journal on one of today’s most pressing challenges – ‘Robust AI Planning’ (for autonomous systems). The piece explores current industry challenges and outlines potential solutions to ensure these systems go beyond innovation to ensure safety and dependability. Artificial intelligence (AI) might grab all the headlines and drive stock market returns, but another technology seems to be approaching its breakout moment. We think humanoids — robots with two arms, two legs and an AI brain — could become more common in many industries. And it might happen sooner than you expect. https://amcen.co/46jDACf #HumanoidWorkforce #AIandRobotics #FutureIsNow
