Finally MCP is available with chatgpt. This is great news for SMB who want to integrate workflows with their assistant but adds security concerns for enterprise.

Using ChatGPT (with Cline in VS Code) + Claude, and for about $2.50 and less than 4 hours of work, I co-piloted the entire process: Designed a Windows UI bot to grab Jira issues Saved them as clean JSON Fed the data straight into an LLM knowledge engine I’m building Why? Jira holds tons of hidden insights. By pairing automation + AI, I can unlock those threads and turn raw issues into actionable intelligence. You should try this out. I like the concept, and it integrates with a majority of available tools (Telegram, Jira, Slack, ChatGPT, rss feeds, SSH actions, build agentic-AI handlers), and the only limit is your imagination. I want this to be a reminder that if you know some code, you can do some of these types of things yourself, n8n just gives you a "no frills" and "easy to use" graphical low-code solution to perform automation. I saw Network Chuck's video on n8n. It's not open source, it operates on a "Sustainable Use License", which means you can review the code, but there are some licensing restrictions.

OpenAI’s Codex is now generally available, adding a Slack integration to delegate coding tasks via @Codex. A TypeScript Codex SDK lets teams embed the same agent in apps with structured outputs and session management. ChatGPT admins get safer defaults, data removal, environment cleanup, and analytics. Slack and SDK features are live for Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise; admin tools for Business, Edu, and Enterprise.

What's interesting to me is that AI is essentially forcing the integration layer we've all wanted for a long time to work easily across our applications and use cases, but have been subverted at every turn by companies trying to block access or silo information.
