When it comes to contraceptives, people just think it's a pill you take, you don't get pregnant. You know, the history of contraception, I think is really interesting because when it came out in the 60s, it wasn't actually marketed as contraception. It didn't do studies as a contraceptive. All the studies were on bleeding and trying to reduce bleeding in women. So the studies were all done on the womb in Puerto Rico. A lot of those women had clots, strokes, some of them died. They ignored that data because they wanted to get it to market. So when it first came out, it was a tablet to help heavy periods. And then they said. By the way, you might not get pregnant on it because they're tested it and some women in fertility clinics and their fertility got worse. So the women were like great sexual liberation, that's great. I'll take this. But after a year, the drug sales went up. So they went, OK, let's just add on the licensing for contraception and sales doubled and the rest is history.
