Spending time with a room full of smart people at the APAC Chief Strategy Officer Conference this week. Very much enjoying the conversations. I had the opportunity to share some thoughts on how strategy and AI are interacting. My take was that business use of AI starts with automating tasks - then expands through harnessing intelligence to fundamentally reshape how organizations grow, compete, and make decisions. As machine learning accelerates, it’s driving exponential gains in efficiency, personalization, and insight, democratizing advanced capabilities for businesses of all sizes. A big opportunity lies in using these tools to scale collective intelligence, adapt faster than ever, and rethink how we connect, collaborate, and create value. Fantastic session, Jason Juma-Ross! Thank you for sharing such practical and thought-provoking insights. "Agility over prediction" really resonated, as it’s something I’m constantly reprosecuting with leaders as a lever to better manage change. I also loved your reference to culture over control, failure tolerance, and freedom of information - and of course, data as a growth engine (with data quality as the dependent variable). All powerful reminders of what progressive, AI-enabled organisations truly need to thrive."
