Successful #B2B acquisitions are about buying an excellent client base. So why do most acquisitions fail? One answer is that many #B2B companies skimp on the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process. They pay a premium for the acquired company but end up with a pig-in-a-poke because they haven't asked all the right questions to determine if those clients are going to stay, and stay for the long term. Click through to find out how to do #CDD properly. https://lnkd.in/enM2fGpn

I appreciate buyers who thoroughly assess the business. Our Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) provides an honest look at the company's financials, operations, and market position, including strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, we create a detailed risk profile to outline potential risks and opportunities, for a complete picture of the business. Before buying a business, you have to pull back the curtain.
💡 Here’s the catch: a company can look great on paper… but once you step in, the real story shows up. 👉 The truth? Value often hides in places most buyers never check — the people, the systems, the brand, even how dependent the business is on the owner. That’s why savvy buyers look past the P&L. They know the hidden factors that turn a business from “risky bet” to “solid investment.” 💡 We’ve pulled together some quick information on what to look for beyond revenue — insights that can save you from buying a headache (or help you spot the hidden gem). 👉 Don't miss it! #BusinessAcquisition #MergersAndAcquisitions #BusinessGrowth #DueDiligence

If I have any advice for acquisitions folks out there, it's this: 1) Get proficient at determining if a deal is worth more than 5 minutes of your time. 2) Every month, let every broker in the market know exactly what you are looking for. 3) When they send you a deal, respond within 24h if it's a quick pass, and include your reasoning. If it's a deal that needs more time, let them know within 24h, and then get back to them in 48h. This will undoubtedly increase your deal flow.

Totally agree John. In my experience this has indeed been one of the more useful and revealing parts of the due diligence process.
