More highlights from Digital Assets Week, nearly a year ago I heard Max Heinzle state that 21x withdrew from a BoE Digital Securities Sandbox application, given that stablecoins (core to 21x's blockchain based FMI model) were not allowed. Now the DSS has 15 firms in it, with regulated stablecoins (GBP and other currencies) being permittedd, which with BoE's pathway to programmable Central Bank Money (the DLT Challenge for wCBDC on 3rd party ledgers and the Synchronisation Lab for RTGS integration) now is 'Exactly the right path in the UK" and "We want to set up shop in the UK". «We have a very efficient payment system in the Nordics. So we are probably not going to adopt stablecoins broadly anytime soon.
