I’m revisiting some of the books in my office. While The Agility Shift by Pamela Meyer was published in 2015, its message feels built for this AI-driven moment. Meyer’s 3 Cs—Competence, Capacity, Confidence—and her idea of the Relational Web remind us that agility isn’t a process; it’s how people connect and adapt when things change. Here's how I think this applies to the use of AI in the workplace: 1. Build competence to think with AI, not fear it. 2. Create capacity for experimentation, not just efficiency. 3. Grow confidence through practice and shared learning. Agile leadership sees disruption as data, not danger. #AgileLeadership #AI #FutureOfWork #ChangeLeadership #LearningCulture

When I started writing "Straight Talk," I didn't set out to decode AI. I set out to make it manageable and strategic. I've watched too many business executives waste months chasing technical understanding of AI ... or future predictions of its technical capabilities ... instead of focusing on business outcomes. What's exciting to me about AI isn't the novelty of it (OK, that is fun, not gonna lie here) ... but as a business owner, what is genuinely exciting to me is how effective AI use can change the way a business operates and competes. And that's what "Straight Talk" is about. I'm wholly invested in helping business owners and executives understand how to use AI strategically, avoid the missteps, get their ROI (unlike 95% of current AI pilots), and discover how AI can help each business further differentiate and compete. Get the book! It's a shortcut to AI effectiveness for organizations. #FutureOfWork #BusinessStrategy #BusinessSucess #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalTransformation

🌐 Why your data-strategy must think in “event-streams”, not just datasets for Generative AI** Most organisations treat data for Gen AI as “big batches of historical records” — tables, documents, emails. But here’s the twist: the real value comes from turning live, action-streams into training and context. Think: • every user interaction, click, question, correction → a signal. • every micro-event feeds the model (or retrieval layer) with fresh context. • by capturing event streams you enable models to adapt faster, know what’s next, and personalise in real-time. ✅ The lesson: Don’t just ask “What datasets do I have?” Instead ask: “What live contexts do I have?” 🔍 Because the advantage in Gen AI isn’t just how much data, but how current and how connected to behaviour. #GenerativeAI #DataStrategy #EventStreaming #RealTimeAI #MLOps #Innovation

Worry not, Samuel F. Smith II, AI doesn’t need to live in IT anymore. Because it’s trained on natural human language, business leaders can now build and run processes in plain English. That means you can define steps like “when a deal closes, create a contract” without needing technical expertise. This shift makes it easier than ever to embed AI into day-to-day operations, improve efficiency, and deliver better results for clients. What’s one way you’d like AI to make your work easier? Over the past few years, we’ve been helping some of the world’s largest public companies experiment with AI. But one pattern kept repeating: no one had a clear vision for what a truly AI-enabled organization looks like. So we built one. In our new report, The Self-Driving Organization, we lay out five levels of AI maturity, from tool-assisted teams to fully adaptive, learning enterprises. It’s not a tech roadmap, it’s an organizational one. The goal isn’t to automate everything; it’s to create systems that learn, coordinate, and act with integrity. If your company is serious about AI, set your compass: “Let’s become a Level 4 self-driving organization by 2027.”

Excellent piece by Bud Caddell from NOBL Collective - a great roadmap for AI adoption. Also follows the general stages of learning and development (will post in comment below). From initial experiments to building capability. Just like any process or business develops, and even our society - although it is rarely a linear process. "All models are wrong, but some are useful." - George Box

When people hear “AI visibility,” they often picture something built for tech giants — not for local businesses. But here’s the truth: small businesses actually have the edge. You move faster. You connect deeper. And you can build visibility that AI not only sees — but trusts. The AI Visibility Blueprint works no matter your size because it’s built on three simple principles: 💬 Clarity – say what you do in clear, consistent language 🔍 Credibility – show proof through reviews, mentions, and authentic stories 🧩 Consistency – make sure every profile, listing, and page tells the same story When you get those right, AI doesn’t just find you — it remembers you. And that’s where small businesses win. 🎥 Watch Live & Found — Episode 12 (replay): 👉 https://lnkd.in/gGEWTEUJ 📘 Read the full blog: 👉 https://lnkd.in/esucSVFZ Tomorrow, we’ll answer the next question: 🏗️ How do you actually start building your AI visibility? #AIVisibility #FoundFirst #LiveAndFound #YourAIWizards #SmallBusinessVisibility #AIBlueprint

🌍 Designing AI That Learns What’s Right — Not Just What’s Written When building powerful AI, it’s tempting to think we can just code the right goal. But human values aren’t a clean equation — they’re evolving, diverse, and full of contradictions. That’s why Nick Bostrom’s concept of “Indirect Normativity” (from Superintelligence, Chapter 13) is so powerful. Instead of hardcoding fixed moral rules, we build systems that can learn, debate, and refine our collective values over time. 💡 The core idea: Don’t try to write “the final answer.” Create procedures that can derive good answers — through deliberation, human feedback, and adaptive learning. 🧩 Why it matters: Fixed goals break in new contexts. Reward functions can be gamed. Human values are too complex to compress into code. So the solution isn’t one perfect formula — it’s a trustworthy process. A process that listens, questions, and evolves with us. 🔁 Real-world patterns: Preference learning with uncertainty. Human-AI debate and oversight loops. Institutional safeguards that prevent single-point failure. If we want AI to truly align with humanity, we must design systems that can negotiate morality, not just execute commands. 👉 How would you design a value-adjudication process for AI decisions in your organization?
