20 years ago today, podcasts hit iTunes, and the world tuned in. 🎧 That's 20 years since a quirky format went mainstream. In that time, on-demand audio-only storytelling has gone from a curious experiment to a powerful way to spark real impact. Podcasts let your imagination run free, create moments of true intimacy and stay with you, whether you are driving a rig, at your desk or out on a walk. This simple portable format has given a megaphone to voices that might otherwise go unheard. Last month, with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds we launched 'How Ya Travellin’?', hosted by Shane Jacobson and made for long haul drivers. Over eight honest conversations, we paired unfiltered stories with practical mental health tips and discovered how a trusted voice, a clear focus and the magic of audio can turn a branded podcast into a catalyst for community change. So, what’s next…? As the medium evolves, we see podcasts not as standalone pieces, but as content engines, fuelling platform-native video content, earned media and social stories that extend the impact of every episode. Here’s to the next 20 years of audio storytelling that moves us, connects us and drives positive change!
