Lights, Camera Action Each year, KIPP New Orleans celebrates its team members at our annual teacher recognition and award celebration, the NASCARS. At the NASCARS, we celebrate the hard work and achievement for all staff across the organization. In recognition of the 20th year of KIPP New Orleans, the NASCARS theme was 20 years of Growing Up Together. Team members who have been with Kip for 5/10/15 and 20 years receive special recognition. For their dedication each year at the NASCAR is five staff members are awarded a NASCAR award to recognize their outstanding contribution during the past year. NASCARS are aligned with organizational goals and values. They include the Rookie of the Year Award, Find a Way or Make One award, the Think Like a Champion Award that proved the Possible award, and the Team and Family Award. In addition, each school recognizes a Tipster of the Year for contribution to the school community at KIPP. New Orleans we work hard and we play hard, and then Oscars are the time to celebrate our amazing team and family and the hard work that we do for our students.
