I am nervous like HELL! In two days I am taking the stage at TED@BCG in #Dubai. And wow, the last minute jitters are hitting very hard right now! Many months of preparation have gone into this, many many people who have heard me talk about this far too often. I am so glad I accepted the challenge, but it’s not every day you get to be part of something so special!! Thanks to Briar Goldberg and the entire TED Conferences team for getting me here. At TED@BCG, we’ll explore how innovation, courage, and creativity can expand what’s possible and how we can help design the future. I’ll share my talk on why, when it comes to AI, we need to entirely reinvent the legal system as a civic technology. Right now we are asking the wrong questions: we focus too much on the eye-catching symptoms of AI risks. But we will soon live in a AI world. For that, we do not need to regulate AI, we need to regulate like AI - iteratively, adaptively, in real time. We need a central bank for AI risks, and we laws that are not written as static texts but as living code. I look forward to being part of this incredible gathering of ideas and sharing my TED@BCG talk with you.
