As we step into a New year, I wish you and your dear ones with #health, #happiness, #prosperity and #success. Could not think of a better way to communicate that, but for this old commercial from our stable. Every time I see it, it #inspires me, hope does the same to you all as well. #Amitabhbachchan #PrasoonJoshi Attaching an English translation to the lyrics, but the magic is in the video. Speakers should be at higher decibel levels than usual for this one! 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝, 𝙍𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙠𝙮, 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙙, 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨, 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨! Sir wish u happy new year
Wonderful KC, best wishes
This is indeed inspiring! Truly a masterful poetic rendering by #Prasoon Joshi that is lifted so beautifully, effortlessly by Amitabh Bachchan! Must confess, the English translation doesn’t half convey the passion and conviction that the original Hindi score delivers! Worthy archival treasure for DCP!
Awesome Krishan
Very nice work.
I remember this too well... I remember the lyrics... and i also remember the ingredients listed on the labels ! This is a brand in my heart and in my kitchen cabinet. don't feel safe unless i have DCP stocked ...
Happy New Year to you all, Krishan! Take Care.

4ySheer genius. From concept, script, to costumes, location and treatment. Highlights of the treatment: Some parts of the poem have been lipsynched by Mr Bachchan, some aren't. The Film would lose it charm significantly if the entire poem had been lipsynched. After the poem ends and before the Film closes, some frames have been cut intermittently, giving the Film an acceleration and urgency befitting the content. The first time I saw the Film, I thought the poem is by Kavivar Harivanshrai Bachchan. I called up, I think Mccann, and that is when I was told that the poem has been written by Mr Prasoon Joshi. Later, post an Event, I made it a point to meet Mr Joshi and congratulate him for the Film, He responded by saying, "That's my favourite." For a long while, I had this song as my ringtone. I have always wondered why the Film was aired for such a short duration.
