After 27 incredible years with Lindt & Sprüngli, we farewell our HR Director, Freda Behrens, as she begins her next chapter in retirement. Freda’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From the foundations she helped set in the early days of the business, when there were just 7 employees, through to leading our people strategy for a thriving organisation of hundreds, she has poured her energy, heart and courage into making Lindt a place where people can truly grow. She’s guided us through change, celebrated our wins and reminded us that challenges are simply opportunities to stretch further than we thought possible. Along the way, she championed programs that built leadership capability, supported wellbeing, and strengthened inclusion. She encouraged curiosity and new ideas within the HR team, always finding ways to bring fun and passion into the workplace. And perhaps most importantly, she believed in people, often seeing potential they didn’t yet see in themselves. What we’ll miss most is the way she’s done it all with kindness, honesty and a genuine belief in others. She’s made the hard days lighter, the wins sweeter and the journey more rewarding for so many of us. Please join us in celebrating Freda’s remarkable career and in wishing her all the joy and adventure she so deserves in retirement.
