How to stop free apps from selling your data

You download a free app to save money and you do, but you pay with your data instead. Here is what many free apps collect: ~ Your contacts, location, and device information ~ Your browsing history and search activity ~ Your messages, photos, or voice commands ~ Your daily habits, patterns, and preferences They build a profile about you. Companies sell or share this profile with advertisers. That profile shapes the ads you see and the offers you receive. Some apps track you across other platforms. They follow your activity from websites to social media. They record when you wake up, what you buy, and who you talk to. Before you install a free app: ~ Check every permission and deny anything unnecessary ~ Use a browser version instead of downloading every app ~ Review your privacy settings and reduce data sharing ~Delete apps you no longer use Free is not free. You trade privacy for convenience. Choose how much of your data you want to give away.
