𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆? For years, AI was all about brains. Answering questions. Predicting data. Churning out recommendations. But now… it’s learning to move, act, and 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵. 🔍 Example: At Cruise, our perception system could spot objects—cones, barriers, pedestrians. But it didn’t always see the bigger picture. A line of cones? A blocked lane? That required context, not just object detection. 👉 That’s the power of 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜: AI that doesn’t just think, but 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘴, 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘴. The result? Robots that don’t just follow commands… They adapt. Learn. Navigate complex environments. Work alongside humans, not just in isolation. The future isn’t about AI getting smarter. It’s about AI getting 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭-𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴. So, the real question is: Are we ready to let AI into the world, not just our screens? — Follow Mansi Sharma for simple, no-fluff insights on AI, robotics, and the future of work. #AI #Robotics #FutureOfWork #EmbodiedAI #SimpleInsights

DeepMind’s latest breakthrough blurs the line between AI and embodied intelligence. DeepMind just unveiled Gemini Robotics 1.5 and Gemini Robotics-ER 1.5; two models that represent a quiet revolution in robotics. Rather than mapping human instructions straight to motor actions, these systems insert a reasoning layer in between. One model (ER 1.5) handles high-level planning and spatial understanding, while the other (Robotics 1.5) executes those plans physically. They can describe their thought process in natural language, adapt across different robot bodies, and even call external tools or perform web searches mid-task. This isn’t speculative research; the technical report shows motion transfer across multiple embodiments, and benchmark-leading performance on embodied reasoning tests like ERQA and PointBench. It builds on years of progress in vision-language-action models, and the broader trend of agentic AI; systems that can plan, reason, and act autonomously rather than just predict the next token. To me, this marks a turning point. When a robot can explain why it’s choosing a particular motion, we gain a new level of transparency and trust. When that same reasoning can transfer between machines, the dream of a general-purpose robot moves closer to reality. But it also raises new questions... How do we ensure safety when robots reason independently? What happens to human agency when machines start planning their own steps? Curious what others think, if robots can think and act, where should we draw the line between autonomy and control? #AI #Robotics #EmbodiedAI #AgenticAI #TechnologyEthics #AIEthics

Artificial intelligence (AI) might grab all the headlines and drive stock market returns, but another technology seems to be approaching its breakout moment. We think humanoids — robots with two arms, two legs and an AI brain — could become more common in many industries. And it might happen sooner than you expect. https://amcen.co/4mqb07b #HumanoidWorkforce #AIandRobotics #FutureIsNow
