💡 Why DigitalOcean gives your app a random port? DigitalOcean assigns a dynamic port so your app can run safely alongside others, scale easily, and stay secure. Pro tip: always use process.env.PORT || 3000 in Node.js.

💡 Excited to share a new feature I’ve just implemented in my app! I recently worked on an Expense Management module where users can: ✅ Add expenses with details like category, amount, and description. ✅ View expenses in a clean, table-style layout. ✅ Filter expenses by category, making it easy to track and analyze spending patterns. ✅ See the total expense calculation at the bottom for quick insights. This feature not only improves usability but also makes the app feel more professional and user-friendly. Another dev following my app store screenshots guidelines, love it! Here is my feedback for @mahersadaii: 1. Keep only 3 elements. More than 3 objects are hard to process for the human brain. 2. Apply consistent text style. Inconsistent styles reduce app trust. Use title case for all text. Keep either 2 or 3 lines of text, not both. 3. UI needs zoom in. Add slight zoom for the most significant part, the benefit. 4. Avoid overlapping phone. Too much information in one screenshot. Split or separate phone frames for better understanding.

When you're building an application, different parts need to communicate - both within the app and with the outside world. This is made possible by APIs - and REST has become a popular way to architect your APIs. Here, Oliver teaches you key REST API principles by walking you through building an Express movie app. https://lnkd.in/gVBrSyr9

Testing mobile apps is hard. But it gets a lot easier with a good test harness. Here’s what a solid setup looks like for Expo apps 👇 1. Create a dedicated test entry point Avoid polluting your production app. Isolate tests with a separate main-test.tsx. 2. Use mock screens + providers Wrap each screen in its own environment — auth, navigation, theme, etc. 3. Render screens in-app Render screens inside a scrollable list. Tap to launch test cases and catch edge cases early. 4. Build with Expo + local mocks Use expo-dev-client to quickly iterate and test locally. 5. Run on real devices Don’t just trust emulators. Your test harness should work seamlessly in production builds too. 📖 Full walkthrough from Steve Galili: https://lnkd.in/gWrTv7tD

Sorry for all the talk about app.wygg.cc lately, but i'm very excited about how quickly we're evolving!! One very requested feature is now live!! 🌚🌝 Dark mode is now available on beta on wygg.cc! It can detect your OS preference, so it turns it on automatically, but if you still prefer light mode, just change the setting in your profile settings :) Let me know what you think, and as always, if you have any feedback, please reach out!
