President & CEO at Kia Europe

I am proud to announce that @Kia Europe is conducting the first-ever public trial of a battery passport at a cellular level. Now, the status of each battery cell is monitored and is accessible via the infotainment system. Through this development, we can gain insights into what ownership benefits we can give our customers. For example, the battery passport includes additional safety-related data that goes beyond regulatory requirements. The biggest benefit are of course real-time insights in battery state of health on cell-level so customers can identify and address maintenance issues early. This can lead to extended battery life and reduce long-term costs. To expand Europe-wide, we initiated a research to identify the challenges and opportunities. On this quest, we are being supported by @Hyundai Mobis and @Hyundai Motor Group with the technical and backend integration. #Kia #MovementThatInspires #BatteryPassport
