Yanmar Power Solutions starts operations, focuses on marine and land engines

Yanmar has launched a new company, Yanmar Power Solutions, focused on medium- and high-speed marine engines. The move reflects the leading four-stroke marine engine manufacturer’s drive to expand its propulsion and power generation business.   At the press conference, Yanmar Power Solutions President Masaru Hirose said the company will promote multi-fuel technologies for marine propulsion and auxiliary applications, developing engines for methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen to meet diverse market needs.   The company targets 9,900 engines in FY2030, up 20% from FY2025, underscoring its ambition to lead the maritime energy transition. Enerpac tools continue to be used in innovative ways, as energy solution company Ritchie (Heavy Lift) Ltd utilized the Enerpac ETT400T Turntable and LH400 Skid System for the movement of a reactor. Powered by a split flow pump, the turntable and skid system was designed to slide and rotate the reactor around a blast wall, showcasing what the team and equipment were capable of. We recently completed a demanding overhaul of a geothermal rotor. Two new rotor disks were welded up with enhanced, more durable material designed to withstand the harsh conditions of geothermal steam. In addition, the rotor was fitted with entirely new blades engineered for long-term performance. The result is a rotor with a longer lifetime, improved reliability, and the ability to continue delivering clean power for many years ahead.
