Laser-Guided Robot Progress (and a Pause Until November) I’ve just uploaded a new update on my laser-guided robot project — and this one came with a couple of unexpected lessons! I finally got the motors turning for the first time, but things didn’t behave quite as planned. The example sketch was only driving the robot forward, and after some investigation I realised why: I had assumed I was using a TB6612 motor driver, but the board I actually installed was a DRV8833. That mismatch means I’ll need to rewire and make small code changes. To add to the fun, only one side of the robot was moving. That turned out to be the result of a soldering fault on the red robot chassis.
