In 2024, remarkable achievements and exciting developments marked the year's progress. At Ocugen's NASDAQ event, meeting patients (with three different diseases (RP, AMD, Stargardt's) benefiting from therapies I developed was a profound experience (photo). Their improved and stable vision post-treatment stands as one of the most significant milestones. The ongoing trials for RP and AMD have displayed promising outcomes, with Phase III for RP and Phase I/II for AMD progressing positively. I have tremendous gratitude for everyone who contributed to this journey towards realizing my vision for powerful and broad therapies to treat multiple ocular diseases. It was an honor 🙏 to present neotiv at the World Economic Forum #WEF25 🌍 in Davos today. My fourth RSNA is officially in the books. From the early-morning coffee meetings with client health systems to the late nights, RSNA is undoubtedly a demanding event—yet it consistently leads to some of the most meaningful conversations. I want to extend my thanks to all of my teammates, especially those on our marketing and events teams, who worked tirelessly to make it all possible. A big shout out as well to our clients, partners, and friends who helped make this year’s RSNA an incredibly productive one for the Qure.ai team. Some common themes I gathered from this year’s event: 1. Many people are overwhelmed by the sheer number of “platform” options available. 2. AI adoption has shifted from being a luxury to a clear necessity. 3. AI literacy among our clients and prospects has risen dramatically over the last 12 months. I was particularly happy by the enthusiastic response to the new algorithms and radiology workflow solutions that Qure.ai unveiled. The feedback consistently highlighted our best-in-class lung cancer care portfolio, which now stands unmatched in the U.S. market. With such strong momentum at our backs, I can’t wait to see what our team will achieve over the coming 12 months. Announcing the 4th and final plenary at LiH 2024 Tony Fadell of Nest Labs, Google, Apple & Build Collective fame. Few know how Tony was affected by the chronic illness late father inspiring huge commitment to the future of prevention. Nabla - led by Alex LeBrun, a summit keynote speaker last year at our summit: Helping slash Doctors time wasted on scribing and admin. One of the first AI Scribes proven to make a difference to the medical profession, helping close the clinical resource gap. Ezra - led by Emi Gal, a panelist last year in the session I curated for Founders Forum NYC: Whole body MRI scanning for ultra early cancer screening. Plugging the technology into global existing MRI centres and using AI to shorten the acquisition and reporting time to democratise it. Orionis Biosciences - led by Nikolai Kley and Riccardo Sabatini old friends who I am in great admiration of, Riccardo from way back in Exponential Medicine days: Cracking the selectivity and specificity of immunotherapy to programme immune responses with extreme precision for potentially game-changing treatment and negation of cancer. These are just three of many. I'm especially looking forward to hearing from Tony about how his life changed given his experience with disease and now he has time to focus more on what matters beyond building billion dollar pioneering product businesses. I couldn't be more excited and grateful today to share Boston University's launch of SEQSTER's 1-Click Records™ to aid in development of early Alzheimer's screening tool at #AAIC2024. The modern era of #AlzheimersResearch has arrived, bringing new hope and #innovation for the millions of patients and families living with the disease. Part of this optimism derives from the incredible advances in the #biomarkers and #diagnostics landscape. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott, the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation and Dolby Family partnered with the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation to launch the #DiagnosticsAccelerator (DxA), a $100M global research initiative, to advance bold ideas for easier, more accurate and earlier diagnosis. To date, the DA has invested nearly $60 million in 58 projects spanning across #bloodtests, #retinal scans and #digital tools, laying the groundwork for affordable and accessible diagnostics to come to market in the near future. Only with an early and accurate diagnosis, can we move towards a future of tailoring personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual biomarker profile.
