Throwback to 1952! MetLife’s Fire Brigade 🔥🚨 MetLife once had its own Fire Brigade at One Madison Avenue—made up of the Engineering Watch Crew and Construction Division associates. Trained in firefighting and maintenance, they could respond in minutes. Even without major fires for decades, safety was top priority. An advanced alarm system with heat-sensitive detectors kept the team ready for action at all times. #MetLifeMondays

An in‑house fire brigade in 1952—backed by training and early detection—shows incredible foresight and a true people‑first culture. Kudos to the associates who kept colleagues and community safe then and set the standard for safety today. 🔥🧯 #MetLifeMondays
