Really exciting news in WSL2 (still struggling not to call it the Championship) today, as Mercury13 takes on a majority stake ownership of Bristol City Women. Victoire H. Cogevina Reynal has always said to me that a leading goal is to have an impact in as many countries and continents as possible, and clearly next on their list is Bristol following great success in Italy with FC Como Women. As I've written today for Aerial Edit, both on web and inside the Aerial Fantasy app, this is particularly poignant when so many conversations this WSL season surround Michele Kang's independent ownership of London City Lionesses and their recent promotion to the top league. Bristol City were a founding team of the WSL back in 2011, however, have battled relegation and promotion over the years. The aim is to get them back up into the WSL and, perhaps more importantly, stay there. Very interested to see what happens now.
