“Resilience means good, reliable infrastructure—for the survival of a city, a nation, and an economy.” Joseph Jarrin, Senior Director for Program Administration at Arcadis, shares what resilience looks like from the frontlines of one of America’s most critical infrastructure projects: the Hudson Tunnel Project. From 9/11 to Superstorm Sandy, Joe’s lived experience has shaped his belief that recovery starts with readiness, and that climate-resilient infrastructure is essential for the future. See how Arcadis is helping deliver infrastructure that supports lives, jobs, and long-term resilience. https://arcad.is/GZflip #ResilienceInFocus #HudsonTunnelProject #InfrastructureResilience #ClimateAdaptation #ClimateWeekNYC

🔦 Spotlight on the UK’s major CCUS transport and storage projects – The Acorn Project and Viking CCS. 📢 Providing an update on Viking and Acorn, Tanisha Beebee – Head of CCS Policy & Advocacy, Harbour Energy, and Nic Braley – General Manager, Acorn Transport and Storage, outlined the steps needed from government to reach financial close, following the Chancellor’s announcement of development funding in the recent Spending Review. Clear focus on using critical infrastructure alongside non-pipeline transport - like ship, road, and rail - to deploy at the scale needed to safeguard vital industries and achieve our climate goals. Chairing the session, CCSA UK Director Mark Sommerfeld highlighted the CCSA's ongoing advocacy efforts with DESNZ to ensure that clear next steps are established for the allocation of the committed funding. 👏 Thank you to Harbour Energy and Storegga for driving progress on these vital projects that will support industrial decarbonisation, sustainable growth for communities in the Humber and Scotland and help secure a just transition for the energy workforce.

$8 billion - this amount of revenue is what our latest research projects the California Low Carbon Fuels Standard will channel to medium- and heavy-duty electrification in California through 2035. Why does this matter? - The LCFS is an existing program. No new battles need to be fought or won. - LCFS overcomes the chicken-and-egg problem, providing infrastructure providers a revenue guarantee before utilization reaches break-even levels - All incentives are self-funded through payments from fossil fuel producers to offset carbon credit deficits, driving the energy transition forward. The LCFS is an investment in a new energy ecosystem, generating construction jobs and making freight cleaner and more efficient. The transition is led by some amazing new infrastructure providers including Forum Mobility EV Realty WattEV, Inc. Terawatt, Voltera Zeem Solutions Greenlane™ Infrastructure and many more. Insightful paper from ICCT highlighting what FuSE has been long on since founding: that electrification is the way, and that compliance carbon markets are powerful. Proud to be a mechanism for success for so many LMD-FCI and HD-FCI sites in California.
