👷♂️🌽 A group of our feed mill team members recently toured the historic Stockdale Mill in Roann, Indiana—a working water-powered flour mill dating back to 1857! North Manchester Feed Mill Manager Michael Monroe was surprised at how much it had in common with our own mill operations: “At first glance, the old mill looked so different. But once inside, I realized the process isn’t all that different—elevators, hammermills, roller mills, and most importantly, teamwork. Past, present, or future, it takes a dedicated team to keep things running.” 💡 The Strauss family built their first water-powered mill in 1875 on the Eel River in North Manchester. 🚧 Today, we’re continuing that tradition with our first concrete mill under construction! Corn receiving capacity: 6,000 → 15,000 bushels/hour Feed output: 72 → 90 tons/hour The future of feed milling is bright, and we’re proud to continue building on our family’s history of innovation while staying dedicated to caring for our hens, feeding families, and supporting our communities. 🥚 Visit Wabash County
