Here’s a reminder for all of us as we work towards our Q4 goals. During our recent customer and marketing town hall, the Heads of Department shared updates on progress and focus areas for the final stretch of the year. When it was my turn to speak, I shared something I recently learned from my boss, Joehan Martinus. One day, while reviewing the scope of work and progress under my department, he asked: “𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴?” It was a question that took me aback and made me reexamine the finer details of what we were doing. Sometimes, when we’re knee-deep in our day-to-day — checking off tasks, following processes, trying to get everything done — we forget to ask whether what we’re doing actually matters. As we close out the year, it’s a good time to pause and reflect: ✅ Are we focusing on the things that truly drive impact? ✅ Are our efforts creating real value for the business, our teams, or even ourselves? Processes and structure are important; they keep us consistent. But let’s not lose sight of what really moves the needle. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
