The Navy is looking for the next generation of VR training to prepare sailors for life-threatening situations. You can see the solutions in action. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Prize Challenge Demo Day is happening virtually on August 29. Hosted by the Central Florida Tech Grove in partnership with NavalX, Office of Naval Research, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, this challenge seeks VR solutions that deliver realistic refresher training for critical onboard emergencies. These scenarios are designed to meet the Navy’s 6010 training standards, ensuring sailors can respond quickly, accurately and confidently when it matters most.
