𝐃𝐍𝐀12🧬 Muhdo Health launches a world’s first for health testing.🧬 𝐃𝐍𝐀12🧬 has been uniquely designed, as your health is the result of a delicate balance between your genetic makeup and the lifestyle choices you make every day. Your genes provide a foundational blueprint, but they don’t work in isolation. Genetic 🧬 traits may predispose you to certain health risks, but it is often your lifestyle—diet 🍔, exercise 🏋️♂️, sleep 😴, and environmental 🌎 factors—that determines whether these traits are magnified or diluted. 𝐃𝐍𝐀12🧬 provides you with 2 scores. Your 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 🧬 and your 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤. Your Genetic Risk 🧬 looks at specific genetic markers 🧬 associated with a variety of health areas such as: 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 🥰 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐜 ❤️🩹 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 🥱 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 🧠 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 👵🏼 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.. Your Genetic Risk 🧬 is then calculated to show if you have a 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 or 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 in a variety of areas within that category. We then combine this score with a simple health questionnaire which will then allows us to better understand certain lifestyle factors. The 2 scores combined will then provide your Actual Risk of possibly having some issues with that Health area either now, or sometime in the future. 𝐃𝐍𝐀12🧬 makes a positive difference to people by enabling them to take control of their health by understanding certain risk factors, and thus being able to tweak their day to day lifestyle to hopefully mitigate before any health issues arise. #DNA12 #MUHDO #geneticrisk #dnatesting #health #diseasemarkers #healthtech

Does your doctor compare blood test results from the past few years? I am really excited that there are more diagnostics companies that encourage us to monitor biomarkers, hormones and our reproductive and metabolic health. It's a part of the puzzle that traditionally wasn't observed over time. One thing that is still missing for me, is putting that piece of the puzzle into the rest of the picture. Diagnostics are one aspect of our health and we need to move them out of their respective silos into actionable and personalized lifestyle interventions as well as other data points. Data in silos is the enemy of early detection. Putting the pieces together is now possible with technology. For women, where health changes are subtle and fluctuate, it may be more important than ever. That's my mission. 😎 How do you proactively monitor your health? 🧠 #womenshealth #longevitylifestyle #perimenopausehealth #longevity #femalebodies #startupentrepreneur

⚫️ Low alcohol consumption does not yield any distinct health benefits. New research shows that moderate drinking might not help you live longer after all. Past studies suggested benefits from a drink or two a day, but following meta analysis highlight flaws in those studies. Objective: Identify biases in mortality risk estimates for low-volume alcohol consumption. Method: • Reviewed 107 studies with 4.8 million participants and 425,564 deaths. • “Higher-quality” studies excluded certain drinkers and had specific age and follow-up criteria. • “Low-volume” alcohol use: 1 drink/week to 2 drinks/day. Results • Higher-quality studies: RR = 0.98 (similar to abstainers). • Lower-quality studies: RR = 0.84 (lower risk). • Controlling for smoking and socioeconomic status showed reduced risks. • Nonsmoking cohorts: RR = 1.16 (higher risk). Conclusions: • Selection biases create misleading health benefits. • Common biases confuse health risk messages in alcohol studies. • Future research should examine smoking’s impact on alcohol-related mortality risk. @Updates_in_Medicine

user: “i’ve got my 2017 health screening report in a hard copy report somewhere, 2020 health screening info is on a few photos somewhere” us: “hold my beer” 🍺 Over the past few weeks, we worked on this feature where you can take your health screening reports from any medical provider and… 1. upload it onto the raffles connect app 2. The app will parse through the report and extract out key values from the report (e.g., blood cholesterol values) 3. if you upload multiple reports and have values over multiple years, we’ll plot these values on pretty graphs for you to see your trends 4. we’ll then generate pithy insights on these trends so you know what you are looking at - e.g., “you are doing x% better than last year” 5. finally, we offer simple recommended lifestyle changes to you, to help you with “next steps” (if you are the “so what” kind of person) The whole user journey is not captured in this video as we are still in beta - but we should be able to launch this by the end of Q3! 🚀 Get the raffles connect app from the app/play store if you wanna give this a go! Or you can fumble through your on paper / in photos / somewhere-in-your-email health records next time you wanna do a quick check on whether your blood pressure increased…

Multimodal evaluations of health and wellness are gaining acceptance in preventive management of wellness. Prevention of ill-health requires a more predictive approach and continuous surveillance inputs. Curative approaches, on the other hand, rely on diagnostic readouts that are taken once symptoms of ill-health are visible. Deterioration of health begins with a set of molecular steps that finally culminate into visible stigmata or diagnostic blood markers. The time window between the initiation of degradative processes to visible manifestations of ill-health definitely vary as per every specific health condition. It is rapid for infections and could be years for long-term debilitation like diabetic neuropathy and dementia. The ability to capture risk tendencies and signals in this window is therefore important. Longitudinal health monitoring is absolutely vital and this space is increasingly being claimed by personal health monitoring device such as fitness bands, blood pressure cuffs, CGM devices and wearable heart monitors. Likewise, estimation of risk tendencies based on genomics and blood biomarkers is also an important factor in catching the trend of decline early. Even with a preventive approach, where one seeks to buttress states of good health ad hoc, similar multimodal evaluations are of paramount importance. At Serotonin Labs (https://lnkd.in/gXZEaDgK), we have taken this precise approach to curate nutrition stacks that can help delay the onset of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), help retain physical performance abilities and maintain healthspan. Aging sets the stage for disease and attenuation of biological cues of aging with precision and preventive nutrition can help to delay the onset of degradative molecular mechanisms. This is, of course, just the beginning and the program will undergo many iterative cycles of improvement using our 'Track-Measure-Improve' model.
