Understanding the Difference: Virgin vs. Extra-Virgin Avocado Oil At Mizizi Njiru, we take pride in offering two exceptional types of avocado oil, each chosen for its unique qualities and ideal uses. Here’s a quick look at the differences between *extra-virgin* and *virgin* avocado oil: Extra-Virgin Avocado Oil: - First Cold Pressing: Extracted from the first pressing of fresh avocados, this oil is renowned for its rich, intense flavor and highest quality. - Purity: It retains the most nutrients and natural compounds, making it the top choice for enhancing the flavor of your dishes and achieving premium culinary results. - Ideal Use: Perfect for high-quality cooking, drizzling over salads, and adding a luxurious touch to your meals. Virgin Avocado Oil: - Cold Pressed: Obtained through a subsequent pressing of avocados, virgin oil offers a good balance of flavor and nutrients while being slightly less intense than extra-virgin oil. - Balanced Quality: It provides effective hydration and nourishment for your skin and hair, making it suitable for everyday cosmetic use. - Ideal Use: Great for skincare routines and as a versatile, cost-effective option for beauty and personal care. By selecting the right avocado oil for your needs, whether it’s the rich, robust flavor of extra-virgin oil or the balanced purity of virgin oil, you’re ensuring the best quality and effectiveness for your culinary and cosmetic applications.

Here's a fascinating look at the journey of turmeric powder, from lush farms to your table! 🌾 Step 1: Harvesting After 7-9 months of careful cultivation, turmeric rhizomes are hand-harvested when the leaves turn golden-yellow. 🧑🌾✨ 🚿 Step 2: Cleaning The freshly harvested roots are washed thoroughly to remove soil and dirt. Cleanliness is key for purity! 🔥 Step 3: Boiling The rhizomes are boiled for 30-60 minutes. This process softens them, removes their raw odor, and develops their signature bright color. 💛 ☀️ Step 4: Drying Boiled turmeric is dried under the sun for 10-15 days or in hot-air dryers until it becomes hard and moisture-free. A crucial step for a long shelf life! ✨ Step 5: Polishing The outer skin is removed, and the turmeric is polished to give it a smooth, shiny look. Think of it as a beauty treatment for the spice! 💎 ⚙️ Step 6: Grinding The dried rhizomes are ground into a fine powder using specialized grinders. The finer, the better! 🌪️ 🧂 Step 7: Sieving & Packaging The powder is sieved for uniform texture and packed in airtight, food-grade bags to lock in freshness and aroma. What Is an Avocado? An avocado is a bright green fruit with a large pit and dark leathery skin. It's also known as alligator pear or butter fruit. Avocados are a favorite of the produce section. They're the go-to ingredient for guacamole dips. And they're turning up in everything from salads and wraps to smoothies. Avocado Oil Avocado oil is oilpressed from the avocado fruit. Its mild taste and high smoke point make it a popular cooking oil, but you can also consume it raw. Avocado oil is very similar to olive oil in terms of utility and nutritional value. Like extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed avocado oil is unrefined and retains some of the flavor and color of the fruit, leaving it greenish in color. Avocado oil is also often put on the skin as a moisturizer and can be found in many cosmetics and skin care products. When produced for for use on the skin, the oil is usually refined and bleached, giving it a pale yellow color.

When it comes to creating visually appealing gummies, the choice of #colorants plays a significant role. There are two primary types of colorants used in gummy manufacturing: natural and artificial. #Natural Colorants: Derived from fruits, vegetables, and other plant sources, natural colorants are preferred by many for their health benefits and clean label appeal. Examples include beet juice (red), turmeric (yellow), and spirulina (green). However, natural colorants can sometimes lack the vibrant saturation needed to create strikingly beautiful gummies. #Artificial Colorants: These are synthetic dyes created to achieve bright, consistent, and vivid colors. While they can produce eye-catching gummies, some consumers prefer to avoid them due to concerns about health effects and a desire for more natural ingredients. The Balance: Many gummies on the market use a #combination of natural and artificial colorants to achieve the best of both worlds: appealing colors and consumer-friendly ingredients. This balance allows manufacturers to produce gummies that not only look good but also align with various dietary preferences and safety standards. In the end, the choice of colorants depends on the desired visual appeal, consumer demand, and regulatory guidelines. Whether bright and vibrant or subtly natural, our goal is to create gummies that delight both the eyes and the taste buds. #GummySupplements #NaturalColorants #ArtificialColorants #HealthFood #CleanLabel #FoodScience

Nootkatone is a synthetic ingredient renowned for its powerful fruity and citrusy odor derived from grapefruit, enhanced by woody and vetiver nuances. This almost colorless to pale yellowish oily liquid is used to impart freshness and a distinctive grapefruit note in perfumes. Its versatility extends to being an effective, environmentally friendly insecticide and is also used in food and cosmetics. Nootkatone’s olfactory profile includes woody, vetiver, citrus, and tobacco notes, with a strongly fresh, green, and sour character. This makes it ideal for enriching citrus compositions and adding a lasting grapefruit touch. Its odor strength is very high, with a threshold of 800 ppb. Nootkatone has a pleasant taste at concentrations below 50 ppm, with a typical grapefruit peel flavor between 3 and 50 ppm. While it is perceptible down to 1 ppm, the minimum perceptible level is around 0.1 to 0.2 ppm.
