Everyone seems to be talking about Mental Health these days, and for a good reason! Employees battling with Mental Health are typically less productive, less engaged and struggle to find meaning in their work. The list can go on forever.... When we or our peers experience these challenges, let's try to uplift with these 3 mindsets to be kind to ourselves and others. 1. Celebrate Progress, not perfection - It's rare to find someone who has the "perfect" life. Progress shows growth, where perfection is UNATTAINABLE. 2. Everyday has it's own challenges to tackle - write down the 2-3 top tasks you need to accomplish. If you can, delegate the rest or reprioritize the list for tomorrow. Rome was not built in 1 DAY! 3. Emotions are information & provide feedback... They are not a playbook unless you give them the power - Validate, process, and give yourself permission to feel the emotions. Then decide what you will do to resolve the issue or overcome the barriers you may be experiencing.
