𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜-𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲? Héloïse Boiron, Senior Director Global Marketing Communications American Express Business nailed it with three words: • Curiosity • Adaptability • Non-literal thinking But here's the counterintuitive truth: As AI handles more general tasks, specialists become more valuable, not less. As Nick Myers, CSO, OLIVER UK puts it: "Do the people in your team really know their craft? Can they challenge it? Can they interrogate it?" Your in-house talent combines deep brand expertise with organisational knowledge that AI simply can't match. The future belongs to teams that don't just use AI, they lead it. In this age of AI, it's never been clearer that relationships still matter most. AI is transforming how public relations consultants work. It's making our day-to-day more efficient, helping us analyze faster, and opening up new ways to tell stories. But one thing hasn't changed. PR and communications are still built on relationships. At The Harris Agency, we have learned to embrace AI as a tool and not a replacement. It can help us identify industry trends, support competitor analysis, or analyze media coverage, but it can't nurture trust with a reporter, understand the nuances of storytelling, or capture a client's voice the way a real conversation can. Those connections can only happen human to human. We see this truth reflected in the media’s recent coverage of our clients. Each of these stories is the product of human insight and collaboration: 🔹 Sowmyanarayan Sampath, Verizon Consumer CEO, in NJBIZ — on why connectivity remains at the core of unlocking AI’s potential. https://lnkd.in/e8xSq5mq 🔹 Jim Mintern, CEO of CRH, on CNBC with Frank Holland — discussing performance and perspective in a fast-changing materials sector. https://lnkd.in/eyRYUvwJ 🔹 Brian Doubles, CEO of Synchrony, in Fast Company’s “The Modern CEO” — on unlocking productivity potential by trusting employees and embracing remote work. https://lnkd.in/eiuxfHnh As AI continues to evolve, so will we. But the core of great communications work will always be connection, credibility, trust — and people. #PublicRelations #Communications #TheHarrisAgency #PRInsights #ThoughtLeadership #AI

According to a LexisNexis article from August 2025, AI agents are transforming PR and communications by quietly monitoring sentiment, preparing executive briefings, and surfacing insights that help teams act faster and think more strategically. The real opportunity lies in designing systems that are powered by trusted data, aligned to brand tone, and embedded in daily workflows. AI doesn’t replace strategy, it amplifies it. The Evolution of Agency Teams in 2025 Interesting Interview Excerpt from Justin Thomas-Copeland - CEO, American Association of Advertising Agencies "The anticipated impact of AI, particularly on efficiency, inevitably leads to a fundamental question: How are agencies reshaping their teams and structures in response? The trends are fast catching up ~ independent agencies are on the rise, often leveraging advanced tools, including AI, to achieve scale and compete. It’s not just about being “smaller.” It’s about being fundamentally built and set up differently, integrating technology strategically. This evolution directly impacts talent. It’s no longer just about potentially needing fewer entry-level roles. It’s about the urgent need for a different type of combined, converged skill set. As AI handles routine tasks, the premium shifts to human creativity, strategic thinking and the ability to prompt and direct AI effectively. Cultivating an AI skill set across the board is paramount for upskilling and attracting new talent." #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation #DigitalMarketing #MarketingStrategy #PerformanceMarketing #MarketingInnovation #NicheMarketing #SpecializedAgencies #IndependentAgencies #AgencyModel #OutcomeBasedPricing

Want to build trust? Be human first. AI second. We live in a world where AI can draft emails, write reports, and even prep entire meeting agendas. But here’s what AI can’t replace: genuine human connection. Last year, I was in a high-stakes client discussion. We had all the data, dashboards, and AI-driven insights ready. But the moment that shifted everything wasn’t a slide. It was when I paused, acknowledged their stress, and simply said: “I understand where you’re coming from. Let’s solve this together.” That empathy built more trust in 30 seconds than any report or model could. AI is an incredible amplifier of efficiency. But trust—the currency of leadership and B2B relationships—still comes from being human first. 👉 Use AI to save time. 👉 Use your humanity to build relationships. Because deals, partnerships, and teams don’t thrive on automation. They thrive on trust. Tag someone whose authenticity inspires you—I’d love to learn from them too.

#AI is transforming #communications faster than any other function. The advantage won’t belong to those using the tools—but to those who know how to interpret them. The next-gen #CCO won’t just manage messages. They’ll manage foresight. To lead in the AI era, communicators need: 💡 Business fluency — Speak the language of EBITDA, risk, and growth. 📊 Data judgment — Turn signals into strategy, not noise. 🤝 Systems thinking — Connect insights across finance, HR, and legal. ⚙️ Tech literacy — Know where AI adds value—and where it fails. AI makes comms faster. Business-minded communicators make it smarter. 👉 The future belongs to those who can translate intelligence into trust.

I recently went out with Lorraine Santoli, who brings an incredible marketing background from her work with NBC and Disney. Our conversation centered on one big theme: Synergy and AI. Businesses can't afford to treat AI as an afterthought. Just as you leave a seat at the table for your CFO, your marketing director, or your operations lead, you also need to leave a seat at the table for AI. AI isn't about replacing people. It's about adding that "missing chair"! The one that makes the whole team stronger, faster, and more effective. Lorraine and I agreed: the companies that embrace this mindset are the ones that will stay ahead. 💡 How are you leaving a place for AI at your table? 💜 🤖 👩💻 #MasterItMedia #AISuccessSquad #SimplifyingSocialMedia #PainlessPosting

Over the past few weeks, I have been hearing something different in my conversations with some of the brands we work with. More leaders are thinking beyond campaign spends or festive discount rushes, they are investing in building trust, ensuring the ethical use of AI, training their teams to use it effectively, and bringing clarity to how their data is managed. It’s encouraging to see this shift - from chasing short-term metrics to building long-term confidence in what powers decisions. And it’s exciting to see this maturity take shape across industries, because real transformation doesn’t begin with tools or technology, it begins with a mindset. As technology reshapes marketing and AI becomes accessible to everyone - with its well-known pros and cons - one thing is becoming clear: trust will remain the strongest differentiator. #DataLeadership #DigitalTransformation #AIResponsibility #DataTrust

“You need to trust your people and teams as much as you trust your AI tools.” 🎤 Nielsen's VP, Inclusive Insights, Charlene Polite Corley at #LeSpeakEasy 🤲 AI is here to stay, and it’ll be an essential tool for the future of work. But that shouldn’t come at the cost of your people. As Janina Lundy, EVP, Global Head of Marketing & Brand Partnerships at HARTBEAT put it on the same panel, “AI is only as good as the inputs you give it”. The quality of your AI tool outputs == how well your team can use them; they’re two sides of the same coin. Catch the full conversation with Charlene and Janina, alongside Chris Harrington, CEO at CreatorIQ, Heather Barrett, VP, Strategy & Planning at Transmission, and Kimeko McCoy, Senior Reporter at Digiday around AI, brand storytelling, and the key to capturing audience attention below! 📺 https://lnkd.in/ep6-HHTF #TransmissionB2B #CannesLions2025
