It’s coming from a movement. Drs. Joanna Metzner-Sadurski and Ruiling Yuan’s recent publication, “From Fatigue to Function: Redefining Rural Cancer Care Through Exercise Oncology,” reframes one of the most overlooked aspects of survivorship: the power of movement as medicine. For decades, cancer care has been defined by tumor response rates, survival curves, and remission milestones. But what happens after remission—when fatigue, muscle loss, neuropathy, and emotional isolation take hold? This article challenges that traditional narrative. Extra-pulmonary neuroendocrine carcinoma (epNEC), whilst rare, is an aggressive cancer that develops outside the lungs. It presents unique treatment challenges due to its quick growth and variability, severely impacting daily lives with complex symptoms and rapid health changes.    An evidence-based study on epNEC is currently underway, gathering invaluable insights directly from patients.
