Cross-team collaboration overcomes buffer limitations

When Even the Buffer Isn’t Enough This sprint reminded me that even the most thoughtful planning can be tested in real-world Agile scenarios. We had accounted for buffer time to manage unplanned work — but a cross-team dependency changed everything. A defect was reported in a flow our team had built earlier, and another team’s progress was blocked until it was resolved. Though it wasn’t part of our current sprint scope, we stepped in to fix it. The fix took longer than expected, leading to a spillover of one committed story. It was a great reminder that: ✅ Even with buffers, uncertainties can stretch capacity. ✅ Collaboration across teams matters more than rigid boundaries. ✅ True agility lies in adaptability — not just in sprint velocity.Every sprint teaches something new. This one taught us that planning reduces risk — but teamwork resolves it. 💪 How do your teams handle such cross-team challenges when priorities collide?
