The healthcare technology landscape is shifting quickly, and leaders are facing new pressures at every level—from financial and operational strategy to technology, security, and compliance. A common thread running through today’s top stories is the balance between innovation and risk: healthcare organizations are eager to harness cloud, AI, and modern infrastructure, but must do so while managing cost pressures, regulatory uncertainty, and rising cybersecurity threats. This collection of recent articles highlights how healthcare leaders are prioritizing agility, security, and resilience in 2025: Healthcare IT News — Seeking greater agility, healthcare orgs prioritize cloud, KLAS says https://lnkd.in/gCbfA6my HIT Consultant — Healthcare CFOs Cautious: New Deloitte Survey Reveals Top Concerns for 2025 https://lnkd.in/gn6dBfA4 Health Tech Magazine — Security, AI and SOCs: What’s Relevant for Healthcare Organizations https://lnkd.in/gWkx9dsJ Healthcare IT Today — Scaling Securely: HIPAA-Compliant Hosting for High-Growth Healthcare https://lnkd.in/gZ-rNq94

In today’s fast-moving digital landscape, security decisions can’t be made in isolation. Organisations are under pressure to not only control costs, but also to ensure that technology choices support long-term resilience and growth. Relying on a patchwork of third-party tools to manage identities and monitor threats is no longer suitable as it drives up complexity, fragments operations, and leaves critical gaps in protection. By extending the Microsoft ecosystem, Entra Suite and Sentinel offer a smarter alternative, unifying identity, access, and security monitoring into a single, integrated approach. To help your organisation explore the strategic value of integrating Entra Suite and Sentinel into the Microsoft ecosystem, CWSI and Microsoft are hosting Beyond E5 on November 6 at Microsoft HQ in Dublin. This half-day roundtable, led by CWSI’s Mark Mitchell and Microsoft’s Karim Fayad, will: ▫️Show how Entra and Sentinel consolidate and simplify security ▫️ Demonstrate where third-party tools can be replaced by integrated solutions ▫️ Highlight licence savings and cost optimisation opportunities ▫️ Share strategies to align technology choices with wider business objectives Secure your spot today 👉🏼https://lnkd.in/eJtkEU7K

October is where cybersecurity meets medtech. As the medtech industry gathers at events like The MedTech Conference powered by AdvaMed and DeviceTalks, the spotlight isn’t just on next generation devices...it’s on keeping the current generation secure, too. While new regulatory frameworks and premarket cybersecurity requirements are taking shape, legacy medical applications still power critical systems across hospitals and health networks. These systems are the backbone of patient care, but they often run on legacy software, including outdated code and unpatched dependencies. In our latest blog, “Updating Legacy Medical Applications for Modern Security Requirements,” Tim Miller, Co-founder and CEO, explores how manufacturers and health delivery organizations can bring existing applications into a modern security paradigm. With SBOM automation, insights and safe pipelines, we break down how to: ✅ Prepare post-market apps for future compliance ✅ Identify and prioritize hidden vulnerabilities ✅ Standardize software security across your entire device portfolio Start here to secure what’s already in use. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/g8_sBK-g

You don’t need to be perfect but you do need to be prepared. I work with health tech orgs that have landed pilots with major providers. Their product’s solid, roadmap’s aggressive, and growth impressive. Then comes the security review. And the question isn’t “Are we compliant?” It’s... Can you defend your cybersecurity posture under scrutiny? Can you describe your data lifecycle practices? Can you explain your AI governance model? And major providers expect you to know this like the back of your hand. Here’s how I'd advise you to prepare: ✅ Lead with your security narrative Show you’ve considered cybersecurity risks before they ask. This builds trust instantly. ✅ Talk about your gaps, don't just hide them Articulate your roadmap for closing them. Waiting for buyers to identify your gaps raises concern. ✅ Build a defensible documentation package Include your risk assessment and Hipaa policies. This should be buttoned-up and ready to go. ✅ Bring your security lead to the table A founder talking security may fly with small providers. But it wont carry much weight with health systems. ✅ Be decisive about “in progress” items Show your timelines. And make sure they show progress. You're probably overwhelmed with security review processes. Let us take that off your plate! Book a call: https://lnkd.in/e_cdAuYS 👈 𝗣.𝗦. Do you think companies should be open about their shortcomings?
