I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve started a new role as VP, Danone, Family and Kids Brands at Danone. There is an old say in Catalan which goes as “roda el món i torna al Born”, which means that after touring around the world, you end up going back home. A very Mediterranean way of thinking must say. Well, that is not technically true for me, as we will be living our next chapter in Paris, a city that I really look forward to discovering. But still, I can’t help to have a feeling of home as I join Danone. First, because of its origins, that go back to Barcelona, where a father went the extra mile to give the best nutrition to his son and brought the yogurt that we all enjoy to millions of families around the world. It all started not that far away from where I took this picture, and where this iconic Danone sign has been standing for as long as I can remember. Second, because of all the great friends and incredible talent that I know and have previously worked in Danone, a school of Marketing that has shaped wonderful brands and ideas, and been an inspiration for me over the years. But thirdly and personally most important for me as I start this new chapter, because since the first day everyone has made me feel like at home. Friends I knew, and new colleagues, all have given me the best welcome I could think about. Giving their views of the business, simply having a coffee together, or even explaining me the magic of fermentation (it’s the secret of a healthy life guys!). You can’t imagine how important this has been for me, in this significant step of my career, after leaving what I called home for so many years. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity to help shape brand love, buid a yum! business and work alongside a passionate team committed to making a positive impact in the community through health and nutrition.
