NEW: We just broke ground on a new AirTrain Newark! The new AirTrain Newark will replace the existing outmoded AirTrain and increase capacity to help support passenger growth, with easier access to the new, award-winning Terminal A. It’s all part of our Vision Plan for Newark Liberty International Airport. Port Authority Chairman Kevin J. O'Toole explains, “This project is about more than just replacing outdated infrastructure. It’s about building the capacity, reliability, and customer experience that millions of travelers will depend on for decades to come as we complete a top-to-bottom reimagining of Newark Liberty.” Read our press release below to learn more:
This is a just beginning! Now rolling up sleeves... this will become a big construction site soon!
A bigger and better Newark Liberty
Hopefully it’s at least 1000 times better than the last system
Happy to hear this, I was responsible for the first condition survey inspection of the system, and we found many problems and mistakes which I hope will be resolved by the new design team.
Congratulations to you all. I was on the original team to build the monorail. Happy to see the growth in use and its success.
This is what vision looks like when it meets execution. A true investment in the decades ahead.
We are honored to see this milestone — we are proud that PDBM Consulting is contributing to bringing this world-class infrastructure project to life with The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

1wWhy even mention convicted felon Menendez at all herein. Didn’t any PA person at least question about the gold-hiding creep in such an important announcement?
