Design in Memory Puig unveils a new chapter in its storied legacy with the debut of its Eaux de Cologne collection, Colonias Absolutas Puig. Agua Lavanda was first released in 1940, becoming a symbol of Mediterranean freshness. In 1962, designer André Ricard created the house’s iconic Barcelona Bottle for Agua Lavanda, inspired by traditional Balearic jars. With its timeless form, the bottle fused culture, art, and mediterranean essence with sobriety and functionality. In 1968, Puig launched Agua Brava, which set the benchmark for mediterranean men’s cologne and became an icon of Spanish perfume design. Today, the Colonias Absolutas Puig collection pays tribute to this heritage. Its design reinterprets Ricard’s Barcelona Bottle, preserving its shape and wooden cap, while replacing the original raffia detail with a refined leather string. The bottles now also feature the new Puig logo, designed by M/M (Paris) in 2024.
