The Fundació Joan Miró inaugurated the “Miró and the United States” exhibition in Barcelona, with the support of Puig. Showcasing 160 pieces by Miró and artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Mark Rothko, and Jackson Pollock (among others), the exhibition explores how their creative practices enriched one another and contributed to the development of 20th-century art. “This is a unique project of exceptional scope”, says Marko Daniel, Director of the Fundació Joan Miró. “We are proud to have the direct and close support of Puig. This project would not have been possible without this collaboration, which is rooted in a longstanding relationship between the Fundació Miró and Puig, between Joan Miró and the Puig family.” “Miró and the United States”, on view at Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (Oct 10-Feb 22). The exhibition will travel to the US next year to be displayed at The Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C. (Mar 21 -Jul 5).
