Greater Anglia enters public ownership as one of the UK’s best performing train operators Last Sunday, Greater Anglia entered public ownership in exceptional shape - as the UK’s most punctual and most awarded operator. Under Transport UK’s leadership, Greater Anglia has delivered record-breaking performance, replaced its entire fleet with new, more accessible trains, and built partnerships that connect communities and power local economies across the East of England. The Purpose Coalition Chair, Rt Hon. Justine Greening, said: “Greater Anglia’s track record underlines how its investment and performance have delivered real results for communities and businesses across the East of England.
