We wanted to show the world what an interconnected lead generation industry should look like, so we built it. 🔧 At LeadsCon 2025, we created a marble track booth to map the lead journey. 🎢 Each marble represented a lead: starting at the lead seller, passing through PX, getting checked by solution partners, and finally landing with the lead buyer. A few black marbles didn’t make the cut (bad leads, naturally). It was fun, a little nerdy, and oddly satisfying to watch our vision for a more connected, transparent industry come to life. Here’s how it rolled.👇

📞 At CIMA, we don’t just make calls, we create conversations that convert. In today’s world of crowded inboxes and constant notifications, genuine connection stands out. Cold outreach isn’t disappearing, it’s evolving. ❄️ The Evolution of Cold Outreach Cold email and outbound calling remain powerful tools; however, success now depends on how you utilize them. At CIMA, we follow these principles every day in the way we connect with your prospects: 🟣 Be human, not robotic. Our team focuses on real, natural conversations, not scripts. Every call is designed to sound authentic, friendly, and aligned with your brand voice. 🟣 Personalize every interaction. Before reaching out, we take time to understand your audience’s pain points and goals. This helps us tailor each message to what truly matters to them. 🟣 Lead with value. We start every conversation by highlighting the benefit for the listener, showing how your product or service solves their specific challenges. 🟣 Time it right. We plan outreach sequences carefully using data and insights to ensure follow-ups are timely, respectful, and never overwhelming.

Getting Back on the Phones… While one of my team members was out on some well-deserved PPTO, I was asked by another leader to follow up with one of their prospects. At first, it was suggested that I pass the lead to another rep — but that didn’t sit right with me. My team member had put in the effort, done the outreach, and established activity on the account. They earned that opportunity. So, I made the decision (as I have many times before) to make the dial myself. My goal? Qualify the prospect, book the meeting, and ensure my team member received full credit. Here’s what I learned: 💪🏻Thank goodness for the call templates I built for my team — they work! 📋 Even though I was rusty and admittedly a bit nervous, the prospect stayed engaged and gave me more BANT information than I expected. ✅ The prospect even mentioned my team member by name, sharing that she had seen his messages but just hadn’t had time to connect yet. What I didn’t expect: The energy shift from my team that followed. Knowing their manager was in the trenches with them — making dials, booking qualified demos, and backing them up — my team showed up in incredible ways the rest of the day. And the best part? I received multiple messages from team members thanking me for jumping in and continuing to support them. So my advice to every BDR Leader out there: 👉 Make the dial. Not to compete with your team — but to show up for your team. Lead from the front, stay connected to the work, and never forget the power of shared effort.

Your cold email reply rates aren’t bad. They’re just untested. If you're not A/B testing your outreach scripts, you're flying blind. Here’s how we help our clients supercharge reply rates and booked demos: 1. Every 2 weeks, we test variations. CTAs, intros, even the tone. We don’t guess. We measure. 2. Real-world feedback beats opinions. The market tells us what resonates. We double down on what works, kill what doesn’t. 3. It’s not just about copy. Testing uncovers which pain points matter, what positioning converts, and what objections to pre-handle. The result? → High deliverability → High positive response rate → More booked demos with real decision-makers Your outreach doesn’t need to be louder. It needs to be smarter. A/B test. Iterate. Win.

$120k from one 5-minute video. That's the heart of our predictable profit engine. While many are abandoning VSLs for "modern" lead gen tactics... We perfected them. Here's what most people get wrong about video sales letters: They think longer equals better. 20-minute presentations that lose people by minute 4. We believe the opposite. VSLs should sell. And they should sell fast. 5 minutes is our sweet spot. Long enough to deliver value. Short enough to hold attention. Powerful enough to convert. But here's the real magic: It filters our leads for us. People who watch our short 5-minute videos buy or book a call because they're serious. They understand what we do. Why they would work with us. How can we help them. This prequalifies them. And makes them eager to invest. No more tire-kickers wasting our time. No more unqualified prospects. Just high-quality leads who've already been pre-sold. We call it our 5-Minute Webinar and it isn't just content. It's our qualification system. Our profit engine. Our competitive advantage. While others complicate their funnels... We simplify ours. And it prints money.

Hello, October 🍂 A new month is the perfect time to reset your lead strategy. Ask yourself: • Are all inquiries being captured? • Are follow-ups fast and consistent? • Is your data visible so the team knows what’s hot and cold? Most businesses lose opportunities because the system behind the leads is broken, not the leads themselves. This month, try this: 1️⃣ Audit your pipeline – Find where leads slip. 2️⃣ Plug the leaks – Automate follow-ups. Track inquiries in one place. 3️⃣ Focus on your team – Let them sell, not chase the admin. 4️⃣ Measure weekly – Adjust fast, don’t wait till month-end. Goal: More conversions from existing leads. No extra ad spend needed. Fix the system first. The leads will follow. P.S. Where do most businesses lose leads? Is it the first touch or after the first call?
