Let’s talk about the “all or nothing” attitude because trust me that attitude doesn’t serve you! I forgot to bring dumbells and a booty band to the lake with me this weekend and it almost derailed me 😳 I am just finishing up a series of strength training workouts from one of my favorite online trainers and I really wanted to get this one done (it’s #28 out of 30 so I am so close to moving on to a whole new series with her). I thought about skipping it and waiting until I’m back at home where my equipment is, but I decided to do it with body weight and jugs of water that I had on hand. No, jugs of water don’t weight much but I put everything I had into it and increased time under tension on the exercise to get as much benefit as could. Why? 👊 Because there is value with staying in routine 👊 There is value in the mindset of making it happen 👊There is value in moving your body with or without weights 👊And there is value in feeling proud of yourself for not making excuses Next time your brain wants to use excuses to avoid the work, tell it “No No!” and give it all the reasons that you should push through.
