Over the weekend, REA Group proudly sponsored and hosted Google Developer Group (GDG Melbourne) DevFest Melbourne 2025 — Google’s premier developer community conference. The event brought together exceptional talent from across the tech industry to share insights on AI, software development principles, culture‑building in technical teams, and innovative ways to manage tech debt. It was great to see REA colleagues take the stage to present their work to the GDG community. Senior Software Engineer James McDowell presented 'Reducing Incident Response Time through Targeted App Observability & Alerting', and Machine Learning Engineer Olga Yevtushenko🇺🇦 shared 'Predicting Property Attributes in Real‑time with Multimodal AI on Google Cloud.' We enjoyed being amongst such a vibrant and collaborative tech community, and we’re excited to continue celebrating innovation, curiosity and knowledge‑sharing at future events.
