In preparation for the 2025-26 school year, Renton School District is hiring our Special Education cohort of teachers in February - March of 2025.  In Renton, we are focused on all students. We authentically believe in inclusion and providing a full continuum of services to our community of learners. This can be seen through our Vision of Instruction that states our instructional focus is “Inclusive and rigorous learning experiences in which each student is empowered and engaged in caring communities.”    We also know that inclusive practices are hard work, and we don’t expect our staff to do it alone. Every teacher has access to a highly qualified Special Education Facilitator to brainstorm with and receive coaching from, as well as access to a Special Education Director who will partner with you.    All of our special education certificated staff receive a generous stipend and IEP release days. New special education staff receive a significant amount of support during the on-boarding process, including specialized training on writing IEPs and review of curriculum and instructional materials available to our staff. Thank you for your interest!
