Something from the “wow, tech” category today. 🦾 Alt-Bionics, Inc. has been testing their Surge robotic hand in a completely new way. Instead of complex myoelectric signals or pre-set grip patterns, the user simply wears a glove on their sound hand, and every finger movement is instantly mirrored by the prosthetic. The result? Full, real-time control of each individual finger. 👐 It looks natural and opens up new possibilities for training and rehabilitation. It’s still early days, but it feels like a step toward prosthetics that truly become a “second nature.” 👉 What do you think – could this be the kind of approach that changes the game for prosthetic design?
